We had been hearing a tapping noise in our pipes whenever water was flowing. The county told us this was caused by a leak in our water line. Your service technician, came to our house to check on the noise. In a very short time, he determined that the noise actually originated from the meter. He explained this to the water department on his phone. They replaced the meter and the noise is gone.
